NFL WEEK 1 POWER RATINGS

My Power Ratings are adjusted daily and is a snapshot in time.  As news breaks, injuries occur, information is gathered, perceptions changed, etc. I adjust my ratings.  I will also be much more confident of my PR as the season progresses.  Right now we have very few data points and much of my opinion on teams are just expectations based upon the information I've gathered.  I am also much more confident on certain teams than others.  For instance, I'm very confident in my rating for the Chiefs who are generally running it back and have proven stability as an organization and I'm significantly less confident in my opinion of Carolina who were a abject dumpster fire last season, but have reasons for optimisms this season. 

NFL WEEK 1 Power Ratings SPREADS

The spreads are generated by taking the difference in Power Ratings and accounting for Home Field Advantage (HFA). Situational factors, matchups, etc. should also be taken into consideration to developing a true game spread.

WIN TOTALS

The following win totals are based upon my current Power Ratings and not an estimation of the expected variance in their outcome.  Essentially, the Power Ratings are used to create fractional wins based upon the spread of each game, the sum of which generates each teams win total.
